President Obama's contradictory remarks on health care and abortion:

Now watch this at about 1:37:

He is certainly lying to someone. I hope and pray that his most recent comments (2nd video) are true.

Feast of Sts. Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, Archangels

Tomorrow is the feast day of the Archangels, Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. I have for a long time had a special devotion to St. Michael.

The Last Judgement by Hans Memling

From the Apocolypse of St. John 12:7-12:
"And there was a great battle in heaven, Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels: And they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven. And that great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who seduceth the whole world; and he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying: Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: because the accuser of our brethren is cast forth, who accused them before our God day and night.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of the testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you that dwell therein. Woe to the earth, and to the sea, because the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time. "

Let us pray that St. Michael defend us in battle against the wickedness and snares of the devil and that God ensures that satan's time here on earth is indeed short.

Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome to Adjutorium Nostrum. This phrase is part of the traditional Roman Catholic Mass, said at the foot of the altar at the beginning of Mass. Adjutorium nostrum in nomine Domini, qui fecit caelum et terram. This means: Our help is in the name of the Lord, who hath made heaven and earth. My goal in publishing this blog is not to be an expert on Catholic issues. I have no degrees in theology, I am not a priest, and I do not claim to have any special qualifications to speak on Catholic issues. My goal is to just have an outlet to share my thoughts, which will hopefully in turn cause others to think about important issues. I believe that our world is in trouble. I believe that the solution to our problems is turning to Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Like the name of this blog states, the Lord is my help. I pray that the Holy Spirit guides me in all that I write and share. I also pray that the Holy Spirit is with all who read my words and guides them also.

Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.
