This Sunday, November 1st, we celebrate the Feast of All Saints. On this day we remember all those Holy men and women who have been exemplary imitators of Christ and servants of Him and His Church, and request their intercession for us to Our Father in Heaven. Today join in this beautiful prayer, the Collect from the traditional Roman liturgy of All Saints:
Almighty and eternal God,
who givest us to celebrate in one solemnity the merits of all Thy Saints:
who givest us to celebrate in one solemnity the merits of all Thy Saints:
we beseech Thee to bestow upon us,
through these countless intercessors,
the longed-for fullness of Thy propitiation.
Through Our Lord,
Amen.
